今回は本の話。読んだのは、郡山市出身の作家、古川日出男さんの小説『ゼロエフ』。震災や原発事故を背景に、国道4号線と6号線を歩く旅のように始まり、気づけば幻想文学へと変わっていく不思議な作品です。なぜか私は昔から古川さんを“勝手にライバル視”しているのですが、読んでみたらやっぱり面白い。福島の風景、歴史、そして文学が混ざり合うこの一冊。福島県民としては読まずにはいられない小説でした。今回はそんな『ゼロエフ』の魅力を語ります。
