What was the single best thing that happened to you this past year? 回顾过去的一年，发生最棒的一件事是什么？

Philip:

My personal best thing that happened this year, even though I didn't want it to happen, was to actually lose my job, which made me actually feel like touching the ground to then have to think of how to rebound. And here I am now, thanks to this. That was the best thing and the most painful thing that happened to me this year. 

虽然我不希望这件事发生，但是今年发生在我身上最棒的事就是丢掉我的工作，因为让我可以面对现实然后好好地去思考我要怎么扭转现状。多亏这件事，我现在人在中美洲这里旅行。这是今年发生在我身上最痛苦但是也是最棒的事。

It would be that I saw the northern lights in Iceland! It has been my dream to see the northern lights. I was ecstatic when I saw it. 会是我在冰岛看见了北极光！看北极光一直都是我的梦想。当我看见了时候我实在是欣喜若狂。
