昨日、MBS／TBSの深夜ドラマ『プロパガンダゲーム』第5話「アイドルと戦争」を視聴しました。
ここに来て物語が加速し、「これは本気で面白い作品だぞ」と、前のめりになる展開。
原作は、いわき市出身の小説家・根本聡一郎さんによる同名小説。
大手広告代理店の採用試験として行われる、“戦争を是とする側／非とする側”に分かれての宣伝戦——そのヘビーすぎる設定が、ドラマでもかなり忠実に描かれています。
正直、テレビドラマ化は難しい題材だと思っていましたが、
原作に寄り添った構成とセリフで、予想以上の完成度。
その一方で、「このドラマ自体がプロパガンダなのでは？」
なんて、余計なことまで考えてしまうのも事実です。
面白さと同時に、不安もつきまとう『プロパガンダゲーム』なかなか面白いです。
