#109 Filippo Magnini

About this episode

Filippo Magnini is a two-time World Champion in the 100 Free (2005 and 2007) and Olympic Bronze medalist as part of Italy's 4x200 Free Relay in 2004. After an illustrious career, the 17x European Champion retired in 2016.

After retiring, he received a four-year ban for doping -- yet he never tested positive -- he was said to have conspired about possibly doping. After a long fought battle, Filippo was absolved of any wrong doing.

Now, at age 38, he is back training with his eye on making the 2021 Italian Olympic Team.

This episode is brought to you by Aquavolo, the inventor of Drag Sox, one of my favorite pieces of training equipment. There is no simpler training tool to build power in the water than a pair of Drag Sox. Which is exactly why we partnered with them. Order a pair of Drag Sox, type in "BRETT" at checkout, and save 10%! Available globally! This offer is good through November so order now!
