ヤマザキマリさんの人気マンガ『続テルマエ・ロマエ』。その第２話で、ローマ人の温泉職人のルシウスが福島県鏡石町の新菊島温泉の浴槽の中にタイムスリップしていました。新菊島温泉、2021年のコロナ禍で閉館。マンガが描かれた時には、すでに閉館となっていました。とても個性的な泉質と、魅力的な湧出量だっただけに閉館したのが残念です。
