実はローマ系の王はトゥッルス・ホスティリウスが最後で、後はアンクス・マルキウス（サビーニ）、タルクィニウス・プリスクスク（エトルリア）、セルウィウス・トゥッリウス（不明）、タルクィニウス・スペルブス（エトルリア）と外来者系ばかり続いてしまったのも、一つの理由なんでしょうね。
歴史家の中には、本当は5代目タルクィニウス・プリスクスクの代から、7代目タルクィニウス・スペルブスまでの100年位の間、ローマはエトルリアに支配されていたんじゃないかと言う人もいる程、エトルリアは強国だった。
ちなみにローマが王政から共和制に移行したのは前509年と言われています。。。。。。
