#101 What Makes You YOU?! — And Why It Really F**king Matters
About this episode
If I were to ask you "what makes you you?" what would you say? Would you have to pause and think or would you know immediately and share, somewhat proudly?
It is incredibly common for women and Mothers to forget or let go of the big things (and the little things) that make us who we are; to please others, to cope with parenting more easily, or we can simply 'chameleonise' for survival reasons...
Right?! — Because of course NOT fitting in used to be a case of life or death so on some level we 'remember' that and therefore we make do with our soul being starved in big or small ways.
I invite you to think about who YOU are, away from the different hats you wear for/with other people. It's more important than you might think.
In this episode I speak about:
- listening to your body's instincts
- boundaries
- remembering and rekindling our love for things
- how knowing our preferences in all the ways can help us really own who we are more and therefore perhaps avoid people who try to cuss (or control) our opinions
Themes: mental health, self-worth, personal growth, healing, preventing abuse
At the end, I share a quote from Dr Seuss.
