Topic: Taipei City.
Taipei, the capital city of the Republic of China, is the biggest city in Taiwan. It’s also the
political, economic, and cultural center. Located in the northern part of the island, Taipei City is
surrounded by the Yangming Mountains and the Central Mountains. The city has a population of
about 2.6 million. The Taipei metropolitan area (along with New Taipei City and its other
neighbor Keelung City) has a population of over 7 million.
Taipei is an amazing modern city and has so much to offer: historical attractions, museums,
shopping malls, as well as modern coffee houses, and fantastic night markets and nightlife. It has
something for everyone.
