鐘錶走得不準，顯示的時間可能是「快了」或是「慢了」。這個「快」就用 “fast”，「慢」就用 “slow” ， 比如：My watch is fast. （我的手錶快了。）。要來具體說明快了或慢了多長時間。還可以用 “fast” “slow” 來具體說明快了或慢了多長時間，比如：「我的錶快/慢了五分鐘。」My watch is 5 minutes fast/slow.。
