10 Minute Meditation for Daily Reset | Clear Your Mind & Start Fresh

About this episode

Sometimes we just need a "do-over." Whether your morning was chaotic, your workday is overwhelming, or you just feel stuck in a rut, this 10-minute guided meditation is your "Daily Reset."

In this straightforward session, we don't use complex metaphors or counting. We focus on the simple, intuitive act of letting go of what has already happened so you can meet the next hour with clarity and ease. This practice is time-agnostic—use it whenever you feel the need to press the "refresh" button on your day.

Welcome, before you settle in, just take a moment to acknowledge everything that has happened up until this exact second. The conversations, the tasks, the noises, the rushes, how, imagine you are closing a book on all of it.

You don't need to change your clothes or find a perfect seat. Wherever you are, in a chair, in a car, or on your feet, just let your shoulders drop. Let the muscles in your face relax. You are stepping out of the story of your day and into a completely neutral space.

Take a slow, deep breath in. And as you exhale, let the first half of your day go. Once over, this is your reset. Bring your attention to the physical sensation of your breath. Don't try to breathe in any special way.

Just notice the air moving in and out. Think of each exhale as a wave clearing the slate. Breathe every breath out. You are releasing the residue of your morning or your afternoon. Begin with your hands.

Are they holding on to tension from a keyboard or a steering wheel? Let them soften. Check in with your stomach. Is it tight? Let it expand. You are making room for something new.

You are reminding your nervous system that the emergency of the day is on pause. Right now, there is nothing to do but exist. Now that you've created some space, just sit with the feeling of being new. You don't have to carry the mood of the last hour into the next one.

If you were frustrated, you don't have to stay frustrated. If you were rushed, you don't have to stay rushed. Notice the silence between your thoughts. Even if it's just for a second, rest in that gap. You are the sky and everything that has happened today was just weather.

The weather has passed, the sky is clear. For these next few minutes, we will sit together in silence. Enjoy the feeling of a clean slate. You aren't waiting for anything to happen.

You are simply enjoying the stillness you've created. If your mind tries to bring up old news from earlier today, gently guide it back to the cool sensation of the air entering your nostrils. As we bring this reset to a close, take a deep, revitalizing breath.

Notice how you feel now. You have successfully pressed the refresh button. As you move back into your day, remember that you don't have to bring the past with you. You can meet every new task with the same sense of clarity. Slowly begin to move your body.

Touch if you need to and when you're ready, open your eyes. Thank you for practicing with me today. Enjoy your fresh start.
