ベンジャミン・フランクリン（グレゴリオ暦1706年1月17日(ユリウス暦1705年1月6日) – 1790年4月17日）は、アメリカ合衆国の政治家、外交官、著述家、物理学者、気象学者。
印刷業で成功を収めた後、政界に進出しアメリカ独立に多大な貢献をした。現在の米100ドル紙幣に肖像が描かれている他、ハーフダラー銀貨にも1963年まで彼の肖像が使われていた。
時間に追われ、仕事に追われる。そこから逃れる道は、時間を使いこなし、仕事を追いかけることだ。受け身からの脱却である。
