張國立三談《炒飯狙擊手》，已經談的不是小說本身，而且如何旅行、如何過生活、如何寫小說了。因為體會到作家一定是遭逢磨難，細心觀察，用心體會，才有素材可寫，所以，當他碰到倒楣事，也就練就不同的心態來面對。說到頭，人生最重要的功課是「消化」，福分也好，苦難也好，都需要消化，否則也就無福消受，苦難也揮之不去，自我束縛，難以豁達。
