"Cultural Marxism" is a hot topic these days that has generated no small amount of controversy. The term itself has been disputed, but the ideas it represents are valid concerns of a dangerous ideology that has spread throughout our Modern Western societies. It has often been called "wokeness" and is related to concepts such as Social Justice and Critical Theory. 

In 2020, with the BLM riots after the death of George Floyd, these concepts burst into the forefront of our culture's conversations and left many Christians confused and trying to make sense of things. Terms like Critical Race Theory, Intersectionality, white guilt, hegemony and oppression were suddenly thrust into public dialogue in an intensely volatile atmosphere. However, with all of this unfolding, it became clear that even some in the Church had become compromised on these issues and held unbiblical views of justice, racism, sexuality and more. Even some prominent Evangelical and conservative leaders have come out supporting this dangerous set of ideas. 

In this episode, we look at 10 distinguishing markers of Cultural Marxism as a way to start analyzing and understanding it and be alert to its dangers. In future episodes, we'll dive more in-depth into giving a Christian and Biblical response to these issues. For now, this episode is meant as an introduction and, hopefully, a helpful diagnostic aid.
