Interior Designer Heather Schmitt joins me this week to share her less traditional path to becoming an interior designer. We talk about what it’s like to start your own business and the common misconceptions about interior design. Heather also tells us what she’s been up to creatively and what rituals she’s working with now.

Heather has been designing interior spaces for over 18 years. Specializing in high end residential remodels and ground ups as well as the occasional commercial space, her unorthodox approach to design has garnered loyal clients, press and design awards. Individuality and collaboration with clients to make sure their vision comes to life is a main driver behind her success. Heather is known to push the envelope and experiment with new textures, patterns and unexpected materials to bring to life one of a kind spaces for each project and a truly unique product.
