It's the coaching care cell, which is suddenly intriguing because Carolina's job is open. And they, they believe like a lot of them, but I guess, you know, even Michigan's fan base can be guilty of this.

1:04Sometimes like, Hey, you can basically have whoever you want. You know, you should because you are who you are. But I don't think, you know, I think North Carolina is on a different level when it comes to that. Now, the interesting thing will be because they have a very, very strong. You know, kind of a alumni, they are keep it in the family. That's what they've done. Now the Carolina brass has come out and said they are going to look, look outside the family. Are they going to go outside the family remains to be seen. But as you see the lists kind of emerge, you wonder if their view of themselves will, will come down to the view that everyone else has of them, not that they are not elite, not that they are not a blue blood. But the, we are here. We want you. So you come that mentality.

2:06I think they're in for a rude awakening as far as that's concerned. Mr. Y. Now Tommy Lloyd might, he might beg to differ. His agent might beg to differ is he sincerely interested in making the jump from Arizona to North Carolina. Or is this posturing for a, a contractual boost from his AD? Now the best way, the best, you know, if you're a fan and in your program has a coach that you feel is going to be coveted. Man, you would love for your coach to come out and, you know, not be, you know, not be sort of, you leave himself some wiggle room or that kind of thing and then to have the AD come out and back him up the same way. Isn't that what we just saw with Iowa State? You saw an emphatic response and you saw the AD said, it is our guy. Basically, it's sure the AD said excited for cyclone nation that TJ is not going anywhere.

3:09He will be our basketball coach for a long time. Now let's have an exciting and successful time this week. No, no. So that is we're going to do what it takes. We're going to do what it takes. Now, Mr. Y, I drop. I said weeks ago, not knowing that the North Carolina job is going to come open. And frankly, even with UNC open and anytime you see their list and you see Dusty on it, that's them putting their wish list together. There's a difference between a candidate list and a wish list. And also in the third list, which is the media just driving every major college opening that's going to happen. Is going to include Dusty's name. If Bill self decides to retire, it's going to include Dusty's name. And for that matter, the other part that we've talked about in another, what month and at or two months from now when NBA jobs open up his name will come up. There's no question. There's no question. So it's been about, I hate to put, you know, you don't want to be reaction.

4:12You don't want to react to the threat. You want to hit the threat off before it even emerges, right? So, you know, I feel like this is the kind of thinking that Pat had been going on already. And if you saw War Manuals coming, who was it? Was it to CBS? It was one of them, one of the national writers. I think it was the John Rostin. So John Rostin, where he basically says, hey, we're working towards that. It was my big takeaway was he didn't say we're working on another extension. But that's how I read it. Is that how you read it? That's how I read it. Strong, strong, you know what offer. That's how I read it. Like, yeah, man, yeah, sure. You did an extension last year. That was last year. The performance and market demands in adjustment. Yeah. It was to John Rostin.

5:12He said, I want Dustin to be the coach at Michigan for a long time. I will continue to achieve great success. I will actively work with him towards making all that happen. Yes. Yes. That's what you want. That's what you want. And so, I still think the NBA is looming as an entity of interest or entity that will show interest. And if it's strong enough, if you come, you know, you come big enough, it's going to make a hard for the NBA to do what they have to do in order to pull them away. Like, they'd have to be, you're going to be breaking records to come and get them. That's what you want them to have to do in order to get this done. I'll say it again, the only coaches in the country that should be on a list hired and

6:13dusty man as far as salary or concern are those who have a national championship next to their name, national championship on their resume. And even then, how long ago was the national championship for some of these guys, but still, you get my point. I mean, to be able to navigate the waters that you have to navigate in this era of college basketball. And to have a formula and a plan that is so clear has been 100% effective both seasons at the helm. And you know, it's not a fluke because he succeeded at a lower level to like, you got improvement commodity that gives you sustainability and can give you sustainability for a long time because of how old he is. 8:15I don't know if this Lloyd thing is legit, but I'll say again, man. You set your sights, if you're looking outside the family on a coach who has shown that he could coach everywhere, that he could coach pros, that he can scout and recruit. I mean, and that he's, he might be gettable because of where he is, you aren't, you aren't going after, you know, another, but they're only a few blue bloods, you aren't going after an elite program, you know, you Arizona's an elite program, Michigan is an elite program. That's just going to be, you know, those schools are serious about keeping their coaches. North Carolina is not taking time, if Arizona decides, it does not want to lose Tommy Lloyd, Ira, they, oh, it's going down. The extension is how they, I mean, is where are they with that though?

9:17I don't know what they think of them, you know, do they think it's highly of Tommy Lloyd as Michigan thinks of Dusty May? I don't know the answer to that question, but if they do, are they can, they can fend North Carolina off Nebraska can't fend North Carolina off. They just can't, it's impossible for Nebraska. There's no way as much as you could appreciate the, the, the balance that you might have in your college basketball coaching life by not being in a pressure cooker. You're not staying at Nebraska if North Carolina comes, I'm not disagree, I'm not going to disagree with you Sam, but Indiana has kept a, kept their coach and, you know, I know, Indiana basketball and Nebraska football, Indiana football and Nebraska basketball, they've all, you know, done their about face and flipping their spots and everything because

10:18Indiana is a football school and Nebraska's a basketball school. So never say never that's what we've had this conversation like the being the blue blood doesn't mean the same thing. I understand Carolina is not just a blue blood, but they also have resources behind them. I get that. I don't know, maybe Fred likes where he could be, but he, he checks all the damn boxes. But they're being, you know, if you're really looking outside the family, I heard Stephen A Smith say, uh, Kenny Jett Smith yesterday, that would, you know, that'd be a Carolina move, wouldn't it? Well, they just got there. They brought a guy back from the TV booth once and I mean, he did take him to a final four, but in the end, he failed because he lost the VCU after having a 19 point lead and bad out and got fired. Yeah. Stephen A's rationale is why why I'm not listening. He Kenny would be a good coach, but he wouldn't be a good coach for the reasons that Stephen A, he wouldn't be a good hire for the reason Stephen A is saying. He said, uh, because I know he could go and he'll be at a recruit.

11:19You think that's what it's all about? You think that's it? I mean, that's all part of it. That's not it. Stephen A. I don't even think Kenny Jett thinks that's it.
