About this episode
#001 - Globalization and the industrialization of pretty much everything has undoubtedly created many benefits that people across the world enjoy and take for granted. Things like transportation, communication, entertainment and the internet are just a few of those benefits that are, without a doubt, a blessing. However, as the industrialized economy continued to centralize more and more of the aspects of daily life, there have been disastrous effects on the culture of communities and the independence of the individual. Many of us have become essentially culture-less as we have been conditioned over just a few generations to forget our past and accept as normal the insane world we find ourselves in today.
This show is about working to restore and redefine our cultures and personal independence. It’s about challenging conventional ways and looking for what is often the more simple, common sense approach which is often found in traditions of the past. It’s about breaking with the status quo, going out on a limb and doing what most people around us think is crazy. We’ll be talking about practical steps we can take to improve our situation and move the needle forward towards a more sustainable and meaningful life. We’ll also be spending a lot of time on the mindset it takes and the courage needed to break with the norms and start taking our lives back.
