Aired from 1932 to 1949, The Fred Allen Show is a long-running American radio comedy program starring comedian Fred Allen and his wife Portland Hoffa. The show had a 17-year run and the segments would have Allen strolling through an imaginary neighborhood, knocking on the "doors" of various neighbors.
