She is the director of several films, including "The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975" and "The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution", which won the 2015 Emmy Award for Outstanding Informational Programming. Richen has also worked as a producer and editor on various projects, including the documentary series "The Black Power Mixtape". She is based in New York City.
