Wladimir Putin

Vladimir Putin is a Russian politician who has been the President of Russia since 2012. He previously served as Prime Minister from 1999 to 2000 and again from 2008 to 2012. Putin rose to prominence in the 1990s as the head of the FSB, the successor to the KGB. He has been a dominant figure in Russian politics for over two decades, known for his authoritarian style and close ties to the Russian oligarchy. Putin has also been accused of human rights abuses and corruption.
