W.E.B. DuBois was an American civil rights activist, sociologist, historian, and writer. He was born in 1868 and died in 1963. He was a prominent figure in the African American community and wrote several books, including the 'The Souls of Black Folk'. He was a key figure in the NAACP and fought for civil rights and social justice.
