Voltairine de Cleyre

Voltairine de Cleyre was an American anarchist and feminist writer. She was born in 1866 in New York City and died in 1912. De Cleyre was a prominent figure in the anarchist movement and wrote extensively on the subject. She was also a strong advocate for women's rights and social justice. De Cleyre was a member of the Socialist Party of America and the Industrial Workers of the World. She was also a vocal critic of capitalism and imperialism. De Cleyre's work continues to be widely read and studied today.
