Vladimir Sviridov was a Soviet chess player who competed in numerous international tournaments. He was a grandmaster and played in several World Chess Championships. Sviridov was known for his solid and positional playing style. He was also a strong endgame player and was known for his ability to convert small advantages into wins. Sviridov passed away in 1992 at the age of 62.
