Vic Simms is an Australian singer-songwriter and activist who grew up on an Aboriginal mission in Sydney's La Perouse in the 1950s. He became a singing star in his teens and went on to write and record Australia's first Aboriginal protest album, while in prison. After his release, he continued to advocate for Aboriginal rights through his music. Vic has been recognized for his contributions to Australian music and culture, and has performed at numerous events and festivals. He is also a respected elder and community leader in his native Sydney. Vic's music and message of hope and resilience have inspired generations of Australians. Despite facing challenges and adversity throughout his life, Vic remains a powerful voice for Aboriginal rights and reconciliation.
