Valena Elizabeth Beety

valena elizabeth beety is the robert h. mckinney professor of law at indiana university maurer school of law. she has a distinguished career in law, starting as a federal prosecutor and later transitioning to innocence work. she founded and directed the west virginia innocence project and is the author of 'manifesting justice: wrongly convicted women reclaim their rights' and co-editor of 'the wrongful convictions reader'. she has been an advocate for legal reform and wrongful conviction cases.
