Tung Chee-hwa is a Hong Kong politician and businessman. He served as the Chief Executive of Hong Kong from 1997 to 2005. Tung is a member of the Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Hong Kong Democracy. He is best known for his efforts to promote democracy and human rights in Hong Kong. Tung has been a vocal critic of the Chinese government's policies in Hong Kong.
