Tony Leon

Tony Leon is a South African politician who served as the leader of the Democratic Alliance (DA) from 2005 to 2007. He was born on April 9, 1962, in Johannesburg, South Africa. Leon studied law at the University of the Witwatersrand and later earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Cape Town. He began his career in politics as a councillor in the City of Johannesburg and later became the leader of the DA. Leon is known for his advocacy on issues such as economic freedom, individual rights, and limited government. He has also been a vocal critic of the African National Congress (ANC) government.
