Tony Hillerman

Tony Hillerman was an American author known for his mystery novels featuring Navajo Tribal Police lieutenant Joe Leaphorn. Born on November 27, 1928, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, he was a member of the Laguna Pueblo tribe and drew inspiration from his heritage when writing about the culture and traditions of Native Americans. Hillerman wrote over 30 novels during his lifetime, with some of his most notable works including 'The Blessing Way', 'Ceremony', and 'Listening Woman'. He won numerous awards for his writing, including the Edgar Award and the Anthony Award.
