Tomoyuki Yamashita was a Japanese general during World War II. He was the commander of the 15th Army and was known for his brutal tactics and his role in the occupation of the Philippines. Yamashita was also a skilled military strategist and was able to maintain control over a large territory despite being outnumbered.
