Tom Shippey

Tom Shippey is a British literary scholar and author. He was born on June 24, 1942, in Edinburgh, Scotland. Shippey is a professor emeritus at the University of Oxford and has written extensively on J.R.R. Tolkien and other authors. He has also been a contributor to various publications, including The Guardian and The Times Literary Supplement.
