Thomas Corneille

Thomas Corneille was a French playwright and the younger brother of the famous dramatist Pierre Corneille. Although often overshadowed by his more illustrious sibling, Thomas had a successful career of his own, writing notable plays such as 'Ariane' and 'Le Comte d'Essex'. His work contributed significantly to the French classical theater tradition.
