Thomas a Kempis

Thomas a Kempis was a Christian mystic and writer who lived in the 15th century. He is best known for his book 'The Imitation of Christ', which is a classic of Christian spirituality. Kempis was born in Westphalia, Germany and spent much of his life in prayer and contemplation. He was known for his simplicity and humility, and his writings continue to inspire Christians around the world. Kempis died in 1481 at the age of 55.
