T. Krishnamacharya was an Indian yogi, philosopher, and teacher who is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the development of modern yoga. He was born in 1888 and died in 1989. Krishnamacharya was a master of various yoga traditions and was known for his unique approach to yoga, which emphasized the importance of breath, posture, and philosophy. He taught many notable students, including B.K.S. Iyengar, K. Pattabhi Jois, and Indra Devi. Krishnamacharya was also a prolific writer and published several books on yoga and philosophy.
