Suzanne Valadon

Suzanne Valadon was a pioneering French painter and a significant figure in the history of modern art. Born in 1865, she began her career as a model for artists in Montmartre, which inspired her to take up painting herself. She is best known for her expressive and dynamic paintings, which often depicted nudes and portraits. Valadon was also the mother of the famous painter Maurice Utrillo.
