Steve Fossett was an American aviator, adventurer, and entrepreneur. He was a pioneer in long-distance flight and holds several world records for flying non-stop around the world. Fossett was also a successful businessman and investor, and was known for his philanthropic efforts. He disappeared in 2007 while on a solo flight, and his body was not found until 2011.
