Srinivāsa Rāmānujan was an Indian mathematician who made significant contributions to the field of mathematics despite having limited formal education. He was a self-taught expert in mathematics and made notable contributions to the analysis of mathematics, number theory, series, and continued fractions. Rāmānujan's work had a lasting impact on the field of mathematics and he is still widely recognized today as one of the most influential mathematicians of his time. He was born in 1887 and passed away in 1970.
