Sparkle Sooknanan

Sparkle Sooknanan is a judge on the Los Angeles County Superior Court. She was appointed to the bench in 2019 and has since become known for her conservative judicial views. Sooknanan has been a vocal critic of liberal judicial activism and has written extensively on the topic. She has also been a vocal advocate for victims' rights and has worked to increase transparency in the judicial system. Sooknanan is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law and has served as a law clerk for several judges on the California Court of Appeal.
