Simonovits András is a Hungarian economist and Nobel laureate. He was born in 1936 in Budapest, Hungary. He is known for his work on general equilibrium theory and his contributions to the field of economics. He has received several awards for his work, including the Nobel Prize in Economics in 1991. He is a professor emeritus at Eötvös University in Budapest.
