Catherine Cortez Masto is an American politician serving as the senior United States Senator for Nevada. She was born in 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cortez Masto graduated from Stanford University and Harvard Law School. She served as the Attorney General of Nevada from 2011 to 2019. She was elected as a U.S. Senator in 2018 and took office in 2019. She is a member of the Democratic Party.
