Seawall Crocker was a mechanic and engineer who worked with Horatio Nelson Jackson on his 1903 road trip. He was a skilled mechanic and inventor who designed and built several early automobiles. Crocker was born in 1872 in New York City and died in 1947 in New York City. He was a member of the American Automobile Association and the Society of Automotive Engineers. Crocker's work on early automobiles was instrumental in the development of modern car design and engineering.
