Roy Benavidez

Sergeant Roy Benavidez was a US Army Green Beret and Medal of Honor recipient. He served in the Vietnam War and was known for his bravery and selflessness. Benavidez was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions on July 14, 1966, during a battle against the North Vietnamese Army. He is considered one of the most decorated soldiers in US history. Benavidez passed away in 1998, but his legacy lives on as an inspiration to many. He was born in El Paso, Texas, and grew up in a military family.
