Rohit Chopra is an American lawyer and economist who has served as the Commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) since 2022. Prior to his appointment, Chopra served as the Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) from 2019 to 2021. He has also worked as a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress and has written extensively on consumer protection and financial regulation.
