Robert Capa

War photographer

Robert Capa was a Hungarian-American photojournalist and war correspondent. He is best known for his work during World War II, particularly his documentation of the Spanish Civil War and the D-Day landings. Capa was born in 1913 in Budapest, Hungary, and died in 1954 in Indochina. He was married to Gerda Taro, another famous war photographer.
