Ricardo Patiño

Ricardo Patiño is an Ecuadorian lawyer and activist who has been involved in the lawsuit against Chevron for over two decades. He has been a key figure in the case, which alleges that Chevron's parent company, Texaco, knowingly dumped toxic waste in the Amazon rainforest. Patiño has been recognized for his work on human rights and environmental issues, and has received several awards for his efforts. He has also been a vocal critic of Chevron's actions and has worked to raise awareness about the issue. Patiño is currently a professor at the University of the Americas in Ecuador.
