Raphael Lemkin

Raphael Lemkin was a Polish-American lawyer and professor who is best known for coining the term "genocide". He was a key figure in the development of international law and was a strong advocate for human rights. Lemkin was born in 1900 in what is now Poland and died in 1959 in New York City.
