Rainer Weiss

Physicist and Nobel laureate

Rainer Weiss is a German-American physicist who has made significant contributions to our understanding of gravitational waves. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2017 for his work on the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO). Weiss is currently a professor at Harvard University.
