South African politician and diplomat
Pik Botha was a South African politician who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1978 to 1991. He was a key figure in the apartheid government and played a significant role in the country's foreign policy. Botha was also a close associate of President P.W. Botha and served as his Minister of Foreign Affairs. He was known for his conservative views and his role in shaping South Africa's foreign policy during the apartheid era. Botha passed away on Friday, 4th of May 2023, at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Botha, and their two children.
