Peggy Charren

Peggy Charren is an American activist and founder of Action for Children's Television. She is a mother of two and was concerned about the quality of children's television in the 1960s. Charren formed a grassroots activism group in her living room with other concerned mothers to advocate for better children's programming. She has been recognized for her work in improving children's television and has received several awards for her activism.
