Paquito D'Rivera

Paquito D'Rivera is a Cuban saxophonist, clarinetist, and composer. Born in 1949 in Havana, Cuba, he began playing music at a young age and went on to study at the Juilliard School in New York City. D'Rivera has collaborated with numerous famous musicians, including Dizzy Gillespie, Chucho Valdés, and Bebo Valdés. He has released numerous albums and has won multiple Grammy Awards. D'Rivera is known for his unique blend of Latin jazz and classical music. He has also been recognized for his contributions to Cuban culture and has been awarded the National Medal of Arts. D'Rivera continues to tour and record music to this day.
