Nikki Giovanni

Nikki Giovanni is a renowned American poet, writer, and educator. She is a prominent figure in the Civil Rights Movement and has written extensively on issues of social justice. Giovanni has received numerous awards for her work, including the National Medal of Arts. She is also a professor emerita at Virginia Tech.
