Ned Kelly was an Australian outlaw and bushranger who was born in 1854 in Beveridge, Victoria. He is best known for his involvement in the Kelly gang, a group of outlaws who robbed banks and stagecoaches in the late 19th century. Kelly was hanged in 1880 for the murder of a police officer. He is considered a folk hero in Australia and has been the subject of numerous books, films, and songs.
